Great show

I discovered the show and podcast about a year ago. And I always cover a wide range of awesome bands, they interview favorite bands of mine often. Love these guys. Keep it up. Sam

Awesome potential. Awful execution.

As a CCM megafan, this podcast should be a must-listen. I downloaded them all. Unfortunately, 50 episodes in, there is so much wrong with this podcast.

1) The host (Gabe) makes up everything he says on the fly and constantly verbally trips over himself. No polish whatsoever or any real episode preparation.

2) Really bad production quality. It sounds like they record most of their interviews with a cell phone at concerts. You can imagine how bad that is going to sound.

3) Terrible cheesy sound effects to introduce the various segments. How many times do we need to hear obnoxious computerized voices or skit clips from old albums?

4) The name. It’s like they wanted to be dc Talk affiliated, but not really, and couldn’t decide. Having some of their handles as Decent Christian Talk and others as things like dc Talk Act 2 is just confusing and a marketing failure.

In the end, it’s just bad podcasting. But somehow artists do come on this show and are willing to have interesting conversations (mostly with Josiah rather than Gabe). That alone is worth a couple stars.
