Deep Cuts & Sensational Stories is a true crime podcast. Each week, hosts Gillian and Holly dive into true crime state by state. Each episode covers a "deep cut"-- a true crime story that doesn't have a cult status or national acclaim, as well as a true crime story that gained major notoriety, rocking that state or the nation.
We covered a *potential/probable* murderer who has since been released and we hope we don't get murdered.
Holly covers a creepy deep cut. Gillian covers an old ghost story turned murder.
Holly covers a Kennedy adjacent murder.
Gillian talks about 2 potentially connected murders that have happened in the trans community.
We're back! Enjoy the first episode of 2020. Holly covers a deep cut & Gillian covers a famous celebrity murder!
A potato shortage. A serial killer. A mysterious murder.
Gillian covers a gruesome double murder.
Holly covers a famous Kennedy adjacent crime.
Listened to the episode about SD since I’m from there. Normally people trash is and act like we are back woods Hicks. It was nice hearing positive things about the state aside from the murder obviously. I liked the podcast other than the sound quality quality could be better. And 2 corrections: 1. Belle Fourche is pronounced Bell Foosh
2. We have more than 2 unsolved murders.
Enjoyable for so many reasons
I started listening to this podcast because I know one of the hosts. I continued because it is a top of the line podcast. Thank you ladies for sending me down the True Crime rabbit hole. I listen to so many podcast now, but for yours I can say that I have listend to EVERY episode. I wait with baited breath for each new episode to drop. If I were in L.A. I'd want to drop in on a podcast taping and just hang out (and have a glass of wine and pet Sandy).
The Many Reasons:
1. Well researched
2. Give credit to their sources
3. Respect for the victims
4. Dark sense of humor
5. Fun, witty, intelligent, and relatable Banter between the hosts (Holly and Gillian)
6. Fun Facebook group (low drama!)
7. Great production (sound/music/editing/etc)
8. Roll Tide!
We listened to a little of one of your podcasts. It was about West Virginia, and I have never heard anyone be so rude and hateful about a place they obviously know nothing about. Don’t be so close minded. Just because someone lives differently than you doesn’t men that they are less than you. You can be funny without being hateful.
