Meditations By Mamas: Inner Child Meditation w/ Cassandre Dunbar

Meditations By Mamas: Inner Child Meditation w/ Cassandre Dunbar

#DearMama we were lied to when we were told that children were to be seen and not heard. Many of us were harmed because of that popular notion.

Changing oppressive ideologies and false narratives begin with us, in our homes and communities, and often in our own bodies, hearts, and minds.

Now is the time to allow your inner child to speak. Listen intently to her. Speak to her, praise, and affirm her.

Give Black girls the care they deserve starting with yourself.

Just when I allowed someone to take me to crazy lady land... with the tired rhetoric of black mothers being the reason for all things wrong in the black community this podcast through Dr. Shena showed up in time to calm Sybil and all the homies down! My old inner security team is back on retirement thanks to all of you. XOXO

DBM Episode 27

It’s been a while since I tuned in. I’ve enjoyed this podcast since I first started listening. But this episode was extra special to me and spoke life to me! I received my hand of IFa last year and my spiritual journey has transformed. Everything y’all said was like you were telling my life. Especially the part about being the Spiritual head of your household. This was something I struggled with and now hold very dear and as an honorable title. Thank you for sharing your truths. And thanks for keep us entertained while also challenging our minds.
Also Nekisha is a good friend and colleague. I love her dearly and she is the one who introduced me to DBM.
