Insight into the creative process

These stories, insights, and reflections are wonderfully engaging. Each album is a journey and I am grateful Devin has used this medium as a way to share how each album came about.

Depends what you came for

If you want to learn about the making of the albums this podcast can be sometimes rewarding or very frustrating. If you want to learn about Devin and his life journey then this is as frank and detailed as you could hope for.

Episodes are hit or miss, depending on what you’re here for

If you want to hear stories about the albums, songs and stories behind the music, then some episodes are great(Ocean Machine, City, Synchestra). If you are into esoteric rambling where he spends as much time talking about why he continues to do podcasts and regrets without being very specific about anything, there’s a lot of that too(Infinity, Accelerated Evo). I prefer the former, so I find a lot of this to be akin to reading Dostoevsky, sitting through the frustrating bits to get to the gems. Ultimately, YMMV
