Sterling Chapman
After graduating with a degree in finance from LSU and an MBA from LSU Shreveport, Sterling spent several years in the Financial services industry focusing primarily on retirement and insurance planning. He then transitioned to the telecom industry where he worked his way up from a retail salesclerk to a Regional Director in one of the top 2 Telecom Companies in the world through 7 promotions in 7 years. In early 2018 Sterling began investing in Real Estate to provide a safety net for his family should his company ever restructure him out of a job. He started with single family houses, then quickly moved to small multifamily. Over the last 36 months Sterling has acquired 42 rental units worth millions of dollars that pay him over $7K a month in free cashflow as well as syndicated a 53-unit apartment complex. He used mostly other people’s money to build his portfolio through private lending, strategic partnerships, owner financing and more. Sterling has committed to continue expanding his network and education which is what led him to start his podcast The Rent Roll Radio Show where he has interviewed over 75 investors in the last year and a half.
