Die Hard With a Podcast is a 9-part series examining the best American action film of all time: Die Hard. This podcast may center around Die Hard, but it also explores more than just what happened inside Nakatomi Tower that fateful Christmas Eve. This is a podcast for anyone out there with interest in the film – or even just action films, films from the 1980s, the evolution of the American movie hero, film production… Die Hard is at once a product of its time, and the start of a new kind of moviegoing experience.

Dwayne really should have listened to Sgt. Powel

Two hours and 12 minutes of movie. Five hours and forty minutes of pod cast. Amazing.

Why isn’t ZERO stars an option

The host incorrectly thinks Die Hard is a Christmas movie. The host clearly lacks all critical thinking skills. Read the absolute disgrace of an essay this moron wrote where they make their case that Die Hard is a Christmas movie. Here are the FACTS. Die Hard is a HEIST movie, out of the summer blockbuster action genre, that is SET during Christmas. It is NOT a Christmas movie. If you celebrate Christmas by watching this movie, that’s fine. It doesn’t make it a Christmas movie. The world doesn’t have to bend to your ignorance. You can just enjoy this movie during Christmas, that’s fine. Live Free or Die Hard takes place on July 4th weekend. That does not make it about the birth of the nation. It’s a cyber terror plot. July 4th is part of the setting. “Back to the Future takes place on November 5, 1955. That’s the day Susan B Anthony first voted. Back to the Future is a women’s suffrage movie.” You see what happens when you don’t know how to think critically? Die Hard is by far my favorite action movie. It’s just not a Christmas movie. And really, that’s okay.
