The Snyderverse Trilogy III: Zack Snyder's Justice League
Host Anthony Desiato and guest Ed Gross (author of Voices from Krypton) dig into the 2021 film ZACK SNYDER'S JUSTICE LEAGUE, which restored the filmmaker's original vision in an epic 4-hour cut—and saw Bruce, Diana, Barry, Arthur, and Victor come together and resurrect Clark in time to stop Steppenwolf's conquest of Earth for Darkseid.
In the concluding chapter of a 3-episode exploration of the "Snyderverse Trilogy" of films, Anthony and Ed discuss the Snyder Cut's emphasis on character, world expansion, and standout moments.

The Snyderverse Trilogy II: Batman v Superman (Ultimate Edition)
Host Anthony Desiato and guest Justin De Voe (NOT SO SECRET DADS BUSINESS podcast) dig into the 2016 film BATMAN V SUPERMAN: DAWN OF JUSTICE (ULTIMATE EDITION) directed by Zack Snyder and starring Ben Affleck as Bruce Wayne/Batman and Henry Cavill as Clark Kent/Superman.
In the second part of a 3-episode exploration of the "Snyderverse Trilogy" of films, Anthony and Justin wrestle with the thought-provoking (and often misunderstood) BvS and its most polarizing aspects: the film's tone, use of lethal force by Batman, inclusion and visualization of Doomsday, depiction of Lex Luthor, and—of course—the "Martha" moment.

Awesome podcast! Keep it up! Up up and away!
Great explorations of Superman’s character
Hi Anthony,
I love your podcast. I got back into comics recently and your show was the perfect one to get into. The way you approach discussion of Clark and Kal-El’s character is really engaging. Rather than go page by page, you opine on what were the most meaningful beats in the story and what that means for the characters as we follow their journeys.
The first Superman story I read was All Star by Morrison at the beginning of 2023 and that hooked me since. Your show has been great reference for which runs/series to get into. Your appreciation for comic shops as a community is also well-taken.
Anyway, I’m writing this by a waterfall in the woods in a rainstorm so I better get going. I’m excited to be making my way through the Loeb and Kelly run right now.
Sincerely,
Chase
Great exploration of a character
I’m not a huge Superman fan (he’s kind of a blindspot for me), but the passion expressed on this show MAKES me a Superman fan. I love how it’s across all types of media and how it explores his place in the wider DC universe, diving deep into his impact both in comics and culturally.
