Canes May Shovel of the Month - Jaccob Slavin

Canes May Shovel of the Month - Jaccob Slavin

May’s Canes Shovel of the Month goes to Canes defenseman Jaccob Slavin.

It’s tough not to give Jaccob this honor every Month. Night after night Jaccob shuts down the opponents’ best player with no fanfare or bravado. Slavin isn’t just a shutdown d-man he contributed 15 points and a +22 rating for the Canes this year. Slavin is key to the Canes plans of a deep playoff run.

Canes April Shovel of the Month - Alex Nedeljkovic

Canes April Shovel of the Month - Alex Nedeljkovic

April’s Canes Shovel of the Month goes to Canes rookie goalie Alex Nedeljkovic.

The 25-year old netminder has broken out this season and especially in April. Ned went 5-1-1 with a 1.72 GAA & .941 Save Pct including a shutout of high flying Florida.
It’s no surprise Caniacs are falling in love with Alex quickly. Stick around at the end of the episode for a major announcement from Ned.

The Great One needs no introduction.
Wayne Gretzky has done it all in hockey and continues to be a humble servant of the game that he loves.

Wayne was kind enough to take time away from his busy schedule and Dig in with Tripp.

Won me over

I’ll be honest not a big trip fan. Am a big John Forsland fan. I listened because in an interview Rod Brind Amour said the Gretzky interview was a must listen to. I did and I enjoyed the pod cast. I will listen to more.

Entertaining ALways

I have yet to listen to this podcast. I am a new Caniac, really jumped on the wagon last year after seeing the Canes live! Tripp instantly became a staple on our house over the past two seasons. Just discovered Tripp has a podcast when my wife said she found Tripp’s Instagram and it is “amazing.” Thanks for being the best thing about the Canes board casts! Can’t wait to listen to the podcast.
Cheers,
Eric
