While there have been a number of athletes that find themselves in the arts, few can say they found the level of success as Lew Temple, even if the characters he plays seem to die too soon.

Welcome to season one episode 37 of Digital Dissection: A Nerd Podcast!  Today, Mark has a one on one talk with actor Lew Temple (Walker Texas Ranger, Halloween, The Walking Dead) to discuss how he transitioned from a promising career with the Houston Astros to acting as well as how he gets into the characters that he portrays.

The On Screen Deaths of Lew Temple

The On Screen Deaths of Lew Temple

The portrayal of death on screen can often be senseless, brutal, cruel, or even meaningful.  No matter how it's been used to move a story forward, there are two actors who have been struck down on screen more than most; and one of them goes by the name Lew Temple.

On today's Side Stitches, Mark and Joe discuss the career deaths of Lew Temple from his time on the original Walker Texas Ranger, to The Walking Dead, and beyond! Be sure to listen to this week's main episode when Lew Temple himself sits down and chats with Mark!

    INCEPTION

In 2010, between entries of the Dark Knight Trilogy, Christopher Nolan directed a film he had been planning for decades.  A film that made us wonder if our thoughts were actually ours and made us marvel at the complexities of our own minds; to the point where we are still talking about this movie 11 years later.

Welcome to Season 1, Episode 36 of Digital Dissection: A Nerd Podcast; today, the dissection crew of Chelsea, Mark, and Joe go deeper with the film Inception.  Join us as we go down another level about the history and finer details of this modern classic.

    A History of Portable Consoles

    A History of Portable Consoles

Picture it...it's the early 90's, you and your family are on the road for summer vacation, the sun has set but you need to game hasn't. You try to turn on the dome light of the family station wagon so you can keep arranging falling blocks at break-neck speed, but your parents tell you it's illegal to drive with that light on...and it would be years, perhaps even decades before you found out that was a lie.

Welcome back to Side Stitches! This week, in a twist of fate, Joe and Joe alone talks about a brief history of consoles before this week's main episode with console and electronics hacker Ben Heck drops by for a visit.

It's not so bad!

The hosts are fun, silly, and enthusiastic with the content. It doesn't matter what brings you to the table, disregard the Sharpie stenciled messages on the tennis court signs, they will bring you joy, giggles, and information you didn't need to know.

Awesome!

Epic podcast! This crew is fantastic! Detailed and describe everything descriptively and make you feel like your sitting there with them. Fantastic chemistry on the show. The takes on documentaries are exceptional. Very real and relatable. The conversation nostalgia of ghostbusters and Indianna Jones really takes me back. Secret nerds unite! Can’t wait FOF the next episode to drop!
