I’m breaking bread with big-name friends—old and new—for a delicious meal and candid convos that can only happen over a glass of wine. We're getting out of the studio and into my favorite restaurants across Los Angeles and New York City with people like Julie Bowen, Kristen Bell, Fred Armisen, Jesse Williams, Niecy Nash-Betts, and so many more. I know, a celebrity-interview podcast, who’s doing that? No one. Which is why I needed to. We’ll get vulnerable about everything from relationships and family history, to mental health and imposter syndrome. We’ll laugh about my attempted modeling career and being starstruck by Beyoncé. Look, am I saying a chocolate soufflé is going to get me to reveal all my secrets? Yeah. Yeah, I am. So, join me… dinner’s on me. Dinner’s on Me is a production of Sony Music Entertainment and A Kid Named Beckett Productions. Want to be the first to get new episodes of Dinner's on Me? So good that I’m delightfully shocked

I don’t like stars of finished tv shows doing podcasts. There’s one I like specifically that I won’t name here, but otherwise I find it annoying. I’ve tried many. I also do get why some find the background noise here a problem. Everything was working against this podcast being for me. But it started with Jesse (a generation’s most underrated gay actor) interviewing Julie Bowen (a woman I pretended to have a crush on when I was still in the closet because I loved her so much on NBC’s Ed, look it up and demand they stream it somewhere). Also they had pretty fantastic chemistry for eleven years on Modern Family so I gave it a try. It was a great first episode. And Ferguson is really, really good at this, continuing his streak of being a secret underrated superhero.
Just Right

I don’t typically review shows, but this one has been such a comfortable, simple listen lately. It’s my drive to work show. Jesse is really good with his flow, it’s very casual and he isn’t rehearsed or fake. He does a wonderful job making you feel like you’re sitting at the table with him. I like that the episodes are about an hour but I DO wish the ads were shorter/less. I find that with certain guests, I would have liked a few more minutes of story telling rather than a condensed version of the convo to accommodate more ads. Although I love watching Jesse on screen, I hope he keeps the show going for a long time!
A Confederacy of Dunces

If you are a fan of speaking the English language you will be surprised and confused by how others speak it and how Nicole and Jesse speak. Nicole: “It really resignated with the audience.” She means resonated. Also, resignated is not a word. Jesse: “I felt like I was being protected..gave me this coat of armor.” There is no phrase coat of armor. It is coat of arms. Jesse: “People call me out about movies. I have never seen The Godfather.” Nicole: “Martin Scorsese. I met him recently. I am a big fan.” (Francis Ford Coppola was the director of The Godfather. Scorsese had nothing to do with it).
Background noise

I would love this podcast if it weren’t for the very loud background noise! Couldn’t even listen to the Sandra Bernhard episode.
