Kiell Smith-Bynoe, Sticky barbacoa ribs with grilled peaches, slaw and a Zweigelt

Kiell Smith-Bynoe, Sticky barbacoa ribs with grilled peaches, slaw and a Zweigelt

East London comedy and stage actor Kiell Smith-Bynoe studied drama and began gigging and writing sketch shows from a young age. His hit improv show Kool Story Bro sold out in London and the Edinburgh Fringe Festival. Kiell landed his first professional TV job on the ITV drama Whitechapel in 2012. He is best known for his roles in Stath Lets Flats on Channel 4 and in the much-loved BBC series Ghosts, which ended in 2023 after five series. Kiell can now add presenting to his list of skills, having taken over from Sara Pascoe as the new host of The Great British Sewing Bee on the BBC.

Nick pours Kiell his favourite drink, a tequila and apple juice, while Angela prepares some sticky barbacoa ribs with grilled peaches and slaw. The experts at Waitrose pair the meal with a Lentsch Zweigelt, the most popular red wine in Austria.

Kiell has some interesting thoughts on citrus fruit, which he happily shares with the group. Our trio talk fashion, performing Shakespeare on the streets of Barking and the trouble with ovens.

Shania Twain, aubergine parmigiana and rosé champagne

Shania Twain, aubergine parmigiana and rosé champagne

The Queen of Country Pop has sold over 100 million albums worldwide and won five Grammy awards, but her path to stardom was not easy. Growing up in poverty, Shania’s mother sent her out to sing in bars and clubs at a young age to make ends meet. Fame found her at 30 and, to this day, Shania Twain remains the only female artist to have three consecutive diamond albums in the US. Her record-breaking second album, The Woman in Me, was released in 1995 and became the biggest-selling country album of all time by a female musician. She followed that with Come On Over, released in 1997, which became the biggest selling album of all time by a female solo artist in any genre. Shania Twain plays the Legends slot at this year’s Glastonbury festival.

Nick heralds Shania’s arrival with a bottle of Pommery Champagne NV Brut Rosé Royal while Angela prepares two of Shania’s favourite dishes, courgette fritti with truffle and artichoke mayo and a delicious aubergine parmigiana. The experts at Waitrose pair this meal with an Italian red, Araldica Barbera D'Asti Superiore.

Shania loves London and tells Nick and Ange she likes to ride horses incognito in Hyde Park. She also loves to cook and asks plenty of questions about her meal; listen out for some excellent tips from Angela. Our trio talk wellies at Glastonbury, the secret to Switzerland’s culinary culture and why Shania simply couldn’t make an album with Prince.

Harry Hill, tomahawk steak with Café de Paris-style butter & a syrah

Harry Hill is one of the UK’s most respected entertainers. He studied medicine at St George’s Hospital Medical School in South London before quitting to become a comedian. Harry spent 10 years hosting his multi award-winning TV show Harry Hill's TV Burp, which at its peak was watched by more than six million people on a Saturday night. These days, Harry is one of the hosts of Junior Bake Off on Channel 4 and has just launched his own family friendly podcast, Are We There Yet?. Harry tells Nick and Angela what it was like moving to Hong Kong as a teenager in the 70s. He shares why his family have lost faith in him in the kitchen and our trio reminisce about the phenomenon that was Harry Hill’s TV Burp and why not everyone was a fan!

Stephen Merchant, smoked mackerel with spinach baked eggs and a rosé

Stephen Merchant, smoked mackerel with spinach baked eggs and a rosé

National treasure and proud Bristolian Stephen Merchant struck gold when he collaborated with Ricky Gervais on a little comedy series called The Office in the early 2000s. Buoyed by their TV success, Stephen and Ricky branched out into a brand new medium and became one of the pioneers of podcasting. The Ricky Gervais Show became the most downloaded podcast in the world at the time, securing them a spot in the Guinness Book of World Records.

Stephen has won three BAFTAs, two Golden Globes and a Primetime Emmy for The Office and The US Office. He is here to talk about series three of his excellent BBC and Amazon Prime comedy The Outlaws, which is out now.

Stephen Merchant loves fine-dining and smoked food and so is very keen to sample Angela’s smoked mackerel with spinach baked eggs. The experts at Waitrose pair the meal with a delicious Le Bijou Rosé de Sophie Valrose Coteaux de Béziers, Languedoc

This episode of Dish is one of our funniest yet; Stephen has Nick, Angela and the crew laughing all the way through brunch. Listen out for hilarious anecdotes on family holidays, oysters and why his Order of the British Empire is overdue.

Nick played Nate in the hit series Ted Lasso, opposite Jason Sudeikis, earning him Emmy nominations for Outstanding Supporting Actor In A Comedy Series in 2021 and 2022. He created, wrote, executive-produced and co-starred in Sky One's Intelligence, alongside David Schwimmer, and is here to talk about playing Billy Blind in Disney+’s Renegade Nell, written by Sally Wainwright.

In this episode, Angela cooks up a real crowd pleaser. The experts at Waitrose pair the meal with an O’Leary Walker organic riesling from Australia.

Joel Dommett, smoky fish tacos and a peach paloma

Joel Dommett, smoky fish tacos and a peach paloma

Comedian and broadcaster Joel Dommett grew up on a farm in Gloucestershire but, with no interest in getting his hands dirty, he set off for the bright lights of London. He is blessed with funny bones and, after some challenging years on MTV News, he set his sights on stand-up comedy. A stint in the Jungle in 2016 secured his big break and he returned the following year as the host of I'm a Celebrity... Extra Camp. These days Joel Dommett is prime time, presenting The Masked Singer and the National Television Awards. He is married to Hannah and, as well as hosting a podcast together, they are parents to baby Wilde. Joel is here to talk about the new series of his ITV game show In with a Shout.

Joel arrives early for dinner, so Nick gets busy mixing one of his favourite cocktails, a peach paloma and the pair tuck into some pea guacamole and chips, a recipe from Honey & Co. Joel loves Mexican food, so Angela prepares some tasty smoky fish tacos. The experts at Waitrose pair the meal with a No.1 Astrolabe Awatere Sauvignon Blanc from New Zealand.

Joel is very excited to be seated at the Dish table and kicks off conversation with some hilarious tales of his experience in the labour ward. He talks about the time he had to film some awkward scenes with Sienna Miller and shares the questionable topping he used to put on his pizza.
