However, traditional construction methods have their own problems, scattered supply chains, out-dated materials, long build times, and lack of environmental innovation. A 2023 report from RMI showed that new home construction in America produces over 50 million tons of carbon emissions each year—similar to the annual emissions of Norway. This issue isn't just about economics; it's also about the environment. Traditional construction harms the planet, using up resources, increasing carbon emissions, and creating waste.
