News:
Monday was the celebration of American Independence in the United States and Disneyland joined in as always. Two military bands were on hand to entertain guests. The California Army National Guard 40th Infantry Division Band from Los Alamitos, CA and the 1st Division Marine Band from Camp Pendleton in San Diego, CA, who are renowned for their musical excellence played in the parks July 2nd through 4th. – https://disneyparks.disney.go.com/blog/2022/07/military-musicians-disneyland-resort-band-together-to-celebrate-independence-day/
Pirates of the Caribbean has returned at Disneyland! The entrance queue that was completely rebuilt looks nearly identical to what was there before. The two new trees are smaller than the old ones, and new lampposts have been added to brighten up the queue at night, but those are the only noticeable differences. Inside, the attraction has been brought back to its former glory. All the lighting, audio, and animatronics are working properly. – https://www.micechat.com/326163-dateline-disneyland-pirates-return-submarine-voyage-testing-more/
There is finally a name for the retheming of Splash Mountain, along with a timeline! Tiana’s Bayou Adventure will be opening in late 2024 at Disneyland and Walt Disney World. No closing date was announced yet, but we would guess sometime next year. – https://www.micechat.com/262305-breaking-news-splash-mountain-to-become-princess-and-the-frog-themed/
Oogie Boogie Bash tickets went on sale last week and are already sold out for the season. It is possible that Disney could add more dates, but nothing has been announced as of yet. – https://www.disneyfoodblog.com/2022/07/04/tickets-sold-out-fast-for-disneylands-oogie-boogie-bash/
Two new villains have been teased to be coming to immersive treat trails this year for the Oogie Boogie Bash. There is a lot of speculation online, but – spoiler alert if you don’t want to know, skip ahead a few minutes – it looks like Madam Mim and Mother Gothel will be joining the existing villains at the party. – https://twitter.com/Disneyland/status/1542241493754122240
Star Wars fans will have even more lightsaber hilts to add to their collections soon. Starting on July 8th, Plo Kloon and Kana Jarrus hilts will be available. A limited edition of 6,000 Ahsoka Tano hilt sets will also be available, but only at Walt Disney World, which features a case that plays Ahsoka’s theme song when opened and contains two hilts, like in Star Wars: Rebels. – https://www.disneyfoodblog.com/2022/06/30/new-lightsaber-hilts-coming-to-disneys-star-wars-galaxys-edge/
