Michael Peter Blatty, the eldest son of William Peter Blatty, shares a deep connection with his father's work. He obtained his English Literature degree from Georgetown University, just like his father. Michael was a dedicated supporter of his father during the creation of "The Exorcist," and he was the first to read the finished novel. In 1972, while studying at Georgetown University, he joined his father on the set of the film adaptation. He even made a brief appearance as a student protester in the early scenes. Michael, a father of four, now resides in the Pacific Northwest with his wife and youngest son. He has recently completed what he believes is the definitive analysis of the origins and significance of his father's most renowned novel.
