End of Year Rewind - Dr. Kyeremanteng on Covid 19 in Canada

Our 3rd most downloaded episode this year was Episode 168 – Pizza & Beer, Hockey, Covid-19 with Dr. Kyeremanteng
Meet Dr. Kwadwo Kyeremanteng. He comes from north of the border and is a physician formally trained in critical care medicine and palliative care. His research focuses on making the ICU more efficient and improving access to palliative care services. To achieve this, he founded the Resource Optimization Network, a multidisciplinary research group working to reduce health spending in this area without compromising care. Dr. K, as he is fondly called, is a leading contributor helping the department to achieve its vision of shaping the future of Medicine.
Recently, he joined the physician podcast family with his popular show Solving Healthcare.  Solving Healthcare is a podcast series featuring interviews and discussions on topics related to improving healthcare delivery in Canada based on the values of cost-effectiveness, dignity and justice in healthcare. I gotta give him props, my man has been busy pumping out great content around Covid-19 and I definitely recommend you all subscribe to his podcast.
Dr. Kwadwo is on the hotseat today so we can learn more about him, why he started his show, and what are the differences in responses to Covid 19 between the US and Canada.

MzsScott ,

Thank you for using your platform to educate!

As an outsider looking in with my own opinions, I enjoy listening to your perspective on the medical field. Those of us who aren’t doctors know that it’s tedious work becoming a doctor. However, I think for many, prior to COVID, most thought that once you became a doctor, you’d reached the land of milk and honey. Thank you for providing perspective and keep on enlightening! I look forward to hearing your topics in 2021! Continued blessings! -Jen Scott

Dr.Stiffknee ,

I graduated med school 30 years ago and have gone the pretty much the traditional route but I love hearing about people doing creative things with their medical degrees. Love the energy of this podcast!

Legendary podcast

This podcast is golden! I’m a non traditional premed who on their 2nd gap year. I’ve been listening to Dr. Darko for almost 2 years. He has displayed to me that I can be a doctor that’s don’t have to just do clinical and see patients. I learned about locums and finances. I love his wife also well when comes onto the show! Dr. Nii I’ll love to have a 15 minute conversation with you and maybe be featured on the podcast one day😂😂
