This is it dear listeners, the incredible series 9 finale. We find it difficult to make any criticisms about this episode, but we still had a lot of fun talking over it!

Also, series 10 news and Stephen eats crow on a touchy subject.

This is it dear listeners, the penultimate episode of series 9. What say Lauren and Stephen of Peter Capaldi’s single-handed tour de force that some are calling the best episode since the series reboot? I think you can probably guess what they thought, but give it a listen anyway!

Also, stay for the end where Lauren reviews Stephen’s latest Doctor Who related purchase.

    Enjoy!

    Episode Commentary: Sleep No More

We all knew this was coming…Lauren and Stephen sit down to tackle a commentary on the latest Mark Gatiss script, “Sleep No More.” There’s been lot of talk about the quality of this episode. Listen in to find out if the host’s feelings have changed at all on this new re-watch. are there any new revelations? Does the plot make more sense this time around?

Also, the hosts finally get to catch up and talk about the new companion announcement while Stephen makes some hopefully not too controversial comments.

    Episode Commentary: The Zygon Inversion

It’s part 2 of the return of the Zygons! Listen in as Lauren, Ewan, and Stephen watch intently and try and only talk through the parts where Peter Capaldi or Jenna Coleman are not completely owning the scene with their masterful acting skills (they own it lot). This episode is one of our favorites of series 9 and you’ll hear why.

    Enjoy!

Great Podcast For Who Fans!

I really like the format of this show. The host has a guest that picks an episode to discuss and they have an interesting conversation about it. You also get a bit of back story about how the guest became a fan and who their favorite Doctor is. It's authentic Doctor Who love, plenty of fun!

Good man with a box

An above average Who podcast. Yes, it's still yet another "bunch of guys sit around a mic and, with varying degrees of sound quality, wax poetically about Doctor Who," but it has a lot less giggling and time wasting than many (almost any podcast over an hour is usually full of unedited raff that forces your hand to FF a little too often). The host here is intelligent and keeps the conversation moving, although he tends to agree with his guests a little too much and often fails to ask provocative interview questions (a little conflict and disagreement is what makes for interesting conversation. If everyone in the room keeps agreeing you might as well be talking to yourself). He should be a little more confrontational and try to drop his fannish front just a tad (at least for the discussions). But regardless, the guests are usually a good listen and, unlike many other DW podcasts, I find myself listening to more episodes of this one without wanting to tear my headphones off over the idiocy. Keep it going! And watch those mic levels ;-)

Discovered your podcast while listening to Nerdist...

...and I've enjoyed what I've heard so far! Keep up the good work!

And as a former member of the 1980s era "Doctor Who Fan Club of America," I can tell you that the term Whovian is most certainly not a Tumblr thing. The DWFCA newsletter was called the "Whovian Times"!
