When you have one group leaning on eminent domain for their BUSINESS to make a profit it can make the whole conversation feel, well, yucky! Emotions get high. It doesn’t really seem like a “public purpose” when the pipeline travels through the family farm.
Listen in as Joe Heinrich, Executive Director for a young organization called Smart Carbon Network, and I have a brief conversation about the pipeline and where the carbon capture industry is headed. It isn’t all bad. Can everyone “shoot the moon” for compensation probably not but it sounds like the technology to keep the farm producing well has come along nicely.
