    DGUS Remastered - Paolo

Hello skellies! We're back with another DGUS Remastered episode, this time with my buddy Paolo. He was one of the most passionate Souls fans I interviewed, way back in 2016, and it was an absolute delight getting to catch up with him and talk about how the last four years have changed in terms of our appreciation for the games and the media around them. Enjoy!

    DGUS Remastered - Paddy Stardust

Hey there! It's a surprise skeleton! Paddy DM'd me a few weeks ago and wanted to come back on the show and talk about his experience since we last recorded, almost FOUR YEARS ago. We chat about being a One Bro, what challenges we like and which we don't, and of course, Souls Souls Souls. Enjoy!

    Episode 182: You Died

    Episode 182: You Died

    NEW EPISODE OUT OF NOWHERE!

My good friend Jason Killingsworth is Kickstarting a new edition of You Died, the book he and Keza MacDonald wrote about Dark Souls back in 2016. You Died is a celebration of Dark Souls, and contains stories, anecdotes, and lore about the game. It was an inspriation for this podcast, and I'm not just saying that because I'm in it, I promise! Jason brought his designer, Andrew Hind, to the podcast, and the three of us talk about the book, the game, and of course, the community. Enjoy!

DGUS Remastered - Sean aka The Lore Hunter

DGUS Remastered - Sean aka The Lore Hunter

Hello skellies! If you haven't been following me on Twitter or on the recently closed Patreon, I have some news. My original plan after putting DGUS on hiatus was to begin recording and releasing "remastered" episodes, in which I'd re-interview some of the original guests of the show and see how things have changed. I recorded one of these, which you are hopefully listening to right now, and since then have decided to shut down the Patreon. I don't have any direct plans to record more of these, but if I do they'll be publicly available on this feed.

All of that aside, the guest is my friend Sean, who releases content under the moniker The Lore Hunter. Sean is a lore junkie, as you might imagine, and in the three years since we recorded the first time his life has gone through many changes. He has more kids, he bought a house...the usual stuff. Also: his Souls content began to get way more popular than usual. Popularity is a good thing right? Not always. As Sean tells us in this episode, sometimes it can lead to all sorts of unusual places.

    Enjoy the episode friends!

Hello skeletons! As you'll hear in this short episode, the podcast is going on hiatus! So no new episodes for quite some time (maybe forever, who knows). Thanks to all of you that listen week to week, and thanks to all the guests that have made this show great over the last three years. If you have any questions, feel free to hit me up on twitter. 3

Is there a delay or something between host and guest?

The conversations seem a bit disconnected at times due to some delay in the audio between host and guest..other that that, love the podcast, listened to every episode so far :)

Jeremy Greer has done it again!

DGUS is an entertaining podcast in which Jeremy interviews people in the Soulsborne community, leading to discussions about how each interviewee got into Dark Souls and related games and special connections they have to the game. The interviewee pool is pretty broad, including friends of his, other podcasters, prominent figures in the community like Gary Butterfield, Kole Ross, Illusory Wall, the Lore Hunter, and many others. There’s even an episode with Joseph Fink of Welcome to Night Vale fame!

This is a fantastic podcast for people who enjoyed/still enjoy the Soulsborne games or people who are just trying them out for the first time. Also, Jeremy is a super friendly, funny, and polite dude with tons of great stories!

I really like the idea of having a platform to hear stories from people in the community that I otherwise might not have heard that can also serve as a central hub where people can get a small taste of areas of the Soulsborne community such as different podcasts, data mining, lore, and travel farther into if they’d like.

This is definitely something you will want to hear.

Umbasa!
