When I was first training to become a graphic designer I was placed in front of the Adobe CS2. Yeah, this is back when you had to order the Adobe creative suite and install it on your machine with CDs… did you say CD? Oh yeah, I did.

Anyway, I was set in front of a computer and given a tutorial book on how to use the Adobe creative suite. I learned Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign. I am so glad I learned all three. The first program I ever learned was InDesign. I think this was extremely important because it didn't allow me to form any healthy addictions to Photoshop, which I see a lot of designers struggling with today.

Anyway, I am slightly digressing. I need to talk about the wrong way and the right way to learn to become a graphic designer. I am going to break down 4 ways to make sure you are doing it right to equip yourself to learn the skills and land a job.
