-I just graduated from college and am moving to NYC for work. I’ve only gone on a handful of dates in my life and none of them progressed much. If I’m being honest, I haven’t really taken dating seriously, but now that I’m moving into a new stage of my life I would really like to. My question is: where/how do I start? I am absolutely a dating/relationship novice, and the sheer size and pace of dating in NYC seems daunting.

-Hey man I have a question for you and Jenna. My gf (of 3 years) and I recently graduated law school and will be working at the same firm starting in September. We’re in different practice groups and she’s in a smaller office about two hours from the bigger office I’m in. They knew we were dating when they hired us as summer associates so there’s no issue on that end (don’t worry Jenna) but I was wondering if you had any advice on balancing our professional careers with keeping our relationship healthy for the year or two before she moves to the same office as me. Thanks and love the podcast.

-Question for Down In The Dms that you may have more of a connection to: What is PreNup etiquette? Not that I'm close to that point, but am I allowed to be more upfront because I've seen my dad go through 3 divorces?

-So, one of my coworkers was having a birthday party this past weekend. I was hanging out with everyone when my bestfriend-at-work pulled me into another room and started kissing me. Do I like him? Yes. But I don't know how to handle office relationships. What should I do? There are a lot of employees under 30 in my office, and I've already seen office couples break up.

    - Jenna version: We met on bumble and started seeing each other for a month. Baseball games, adult sleepovers, planning a weekend trip together, things were going great. Then she started long term babysitting for a family friend. The kid is 9 and is living with her for 2 months. She just kind of 180* turn ended it. I like kids, but she just kinda ghosted me and I called her out for it. Now what do I do? I don't want to be one of those people that lingers after someone breaks it off, but I feel like I should shoot my shot again in a month or two.

JR Version: How long do I wait to reach out to a girl who said she was too busy to start dating someone?

-I’ve been thinking about myself quite a bit in the dating game and how my regular life affects it. I go to the gym 4x/week, am studying for the CFA, and enjoy keeping my car almost show car clean. These are very selfish acts and I’m wondering if they affect my personality because I’m not out doing social stuff. I’ll hit the bars or events in town with a few friends every 1-2 weeks but that’s about all I get out. Is there a space for dating in a life like this or is there any truth to people who say things like “I’m working on my career, etc. so I don’t have time to date?
