UP daughter ,

Wish I knew

Listening to this pod cast, makes me sad. You literally put your life in the hands of your doctor. You trust them to do what’s best for you. My daughter had a doctor who had the best bedside manner, who listened to every concern and answered every question, she and I had faith that this was the doctor and that finally he was the one who was going to help her. But we were wrong. He performed a surgery on her that was supposed to make her better, but it did not. She was in more pain. When she went to schedule another appointment with him to talk to him about why she was still in so much pain, she was told that that doctor was no longer there. We live in Michigan, way up north in the UP. most people don’t even know that exists. She was going to school at eastern Michigan university, I told her to find a doctor down there in Ann Arbor MI, and she did. The new doctor was disgusted by what the first surgeon did. And had no idea why or how he did what he did. He performed a surgery on my daughter that would help her, but he would not be able to fix what the first surgeon did. He told my daughter “I am so sorry this has happened to you”.

Medically misleading

Good story but many medical facts are blatantly wrong. Would be much more compelling if the narrator focused on his actual wrongdoing, and not accuse him of wrongdoing for things that were actually medically appropriate.

Dr Death - Jerry

Poor Jerry still loves the guy who ended his life. It’s sad. I’d hate Chris if I were Jerry.
