We’re Saya, Anisa, and Paroma. Three women of South Asian descent, brought up in three different continents, as diverse in our cultural outlooks as we are in our accents. With our powers of drama analysis combined, we formed Dramas Over Flowers: a podcast that lets us work through our joys and frustrations of drama watching.

Goblin: The Great and Lonely God | The Wild Yak
Saya rewatched Goblin for the dozenth time and pulled Paroma into a discussion of our deep love for a story that also has so many elements we feel conflicted on. Dive in with your SPOILER hats on.

Welcome to our first proper Long Yak of 2022! In this one, Anisa and Paroma dig into our widely varying first impressions of Twenty-Five Twenty-One and Forecasting Love and Weather. And Saya makes a good case for why Rookie Cops is a worthier successor of Police University.

When Dramas Ruin You For Real Life (Audio From KPSN Conference)
Have the perfection of drama story lines ever made it hard for you to accept reality? It has for us, and that's what we are discussing on this episode.
This is actually a recording from a livestream we did last year during the K-Pop Social Night Conference, so if you notice that the audio is funky, don't blame us, blame the internet. Terrible stuff. Hee. -
2021 in Dramaland: Year End Yak Part 2 (The Goguma Awards)
Welcome, welcome to Part 2 of our year-end celebration gala! With no less than 28 different awards, this not so much a Yak as it is a Mammoth Marathon, as we try to conquer the highs and lows of Dramaland 2021 in the space of two wild hours.
If you've listened to Part 1, you may already know that we thought this was going to be in 2 parts (big mistake!), but it ended up being 3 - so happy new year and we'll see you in Part 3!

Customer Reviews
Insightful, fun, and thoughtful K-Drama Chat
When entering the world of k-drama, viewers could ask for no better guides than Anissa, Saya, and Paroma. These wonderful ladies provide recommendations, reviews, and
cultural context for k-dramas and the world of the k-drama industry. They are long-time viewers who love Korean drama, but aren’t afraid to let you know when the dramas could have done better, whether in the writing, character development, or themes presented. Come and enjoy their yaks! You won’t be disappointed.
My favorite Kdrama podcast by far
I was searching for a podcast to help me process a couple of K dramas that haunt me still. This one is by far the most interesting, nuanced and intelligent. There’s something about the conversational format that brings out unexpected insights. I also appreciate the literally global viewpoints and perspectives.
This podcast has demonstrated to me, a Korean-American, why K dramas have become the international phenomenon they are and why they are worthy of being evaluated as works of art. Brava!
Always makes me laugh and smile
What a joy of a podcast! To be honest, I haven't been keeping up with kdramas, but I enjoy listening to Saya, Paroma, and Anisa so much that I stay updated with the podcast episodes despite not watching any of the dramas! It's really fun to listen to them discuss dramas, life, and the broader sociopolitical context. Highly recommend!!
