In 2011, Drew did his first Fit2Fat2Fit experiment. As a personal trainer, Drew had never once been overweight a day in his life. However, Drew’s clients were overweight pretty much every day of their life. Unfortunately, Drew couldn't understand why it's so hard for them to follow the meal plans and do the workouts that he gave them. So, Drew went on a journey to gain a better understanding of what it was like to be overweight, and he put on 75 pounds in six months. Drew learned that he was totally wrong in his approach to helping people transform.
[10:05] Dealing With A Breakup Was The Hardest Part of Fit2Fat2Fit
Drew and his girlfriend broke up during the Fit2Fat2Fit experiment. Many people ask if the breakup was because of this journey, and the honest truth is no. Sadly, they had problems before the journey even started. However, the problems were amplified because of Drew’s unhealthy physical state, which affected his emotional state. When you’re unhealthy, your ability to handle stress is severely diminished. Plus, you're more reactive, and you're in survival mode. Overall, unhealthy living causes a lot more issues in whatever relationship you're in, whether it’s romantic, friendships, or family. After the breakup, Drew was sad, lonely, and depressed. It was the hardest part of the journey for Drew.
