    EC3

    EC3

This week we’re graced by the presence of a true legend in the making as professional wrestler EC3 and his right hand man JC join the show to talk about their latest project Free The Narrative. Being a podcast run by wrestling fans (if you haven’t already figured that out by now) it was truly refreshing to watch the cinematic wrestling experience they put together, and pick their brains about the behind-the-scenes process.
We take a unique look at the wrestling industry together and discuss why today’s product is more driven by the advertisers over the fans. EC3 talks about how certain wrestlers are never given the chance to get over, why he became miserable during his WWE run, and how The Narrative has become a third act of sorts for his career.
JC gives us a unique peek behind the curtain of the production process behind The Narrative. We learn about his history with Mushroomhead, and how the band played a part in creating the score for the project. We also learn about what MONSTROUS names might be featured in the next iteration of The Narrative. Of course it wouldn’t be a true episode of Drinks With Johnny if we didn’t touch on drinking, drugs, and everything in between, so get ready because EC3 & JC came to party!

    Jesse Leach of Killswitch Engage

    Jesse Leach of Killswitch Engage

Prepare yourselves for atonement because this week we’re joined by Killswitch Engage frontman Jesse Leach! We talk about the upcoming Killswitch tour, and Jesse’s transition to becoming a homebody during the past year. Jesse talks about the many downfalls surrounding the release of Atonement in 2019, and what musical changes he plans to make on the next Killswitch Engage record.
Music aside, we get to talk about another shared passion of ours - podcasting. Jesse gives us insight on his new podcast Stoke The Fire, and what his plans for the show are once he begins touring again. We also discuss the importance of vocal rest, and how Jesse balances his time between passions.
We hop back into the music world to talk about Jesse’s latest release with Killswitch alumni Adam & Joel in Times of Grace. Jesse opens up about the rather ungraceful times putting together their latest record, Songs of Loss & Separation. We also talk about: the importance of having side projects (like The Weapon), our shared love of punk rock, what in the f**k “metalcore” actually is, tripping balls in a forest, and much more!

    Tommy End

    Tommy End

The end is here as we bury Aleister Black and get into the man behind the darkness, Tommy End. We discuss his wrestling career from its conception in the Netherlands to his recent release from WWE, and what might come next… (MMA? Japan? Blackcraft Wrestling?!)
We get into the things that make Tommy tick. Tommy reflects back on his childhood and how he’s been able to successfully cope with his mental health through wrestling. We also dive into Blxckmass, Tommy’s multifaceted brand outside of wrestling.
Tommy shares his favorite metal bands with us, as well as some jazz and reggae acts, and why he respects Nicki Minaj. We discuss the similarities between the music & wrestling industries, plus we get an exclusive listen to the UNRELEASED heavy as all hell entrance music that never made its way onto WWE TV!

    Madusa

    Madusa

This week I'm honored to be joined by a true PAVER in WWE Hall of Fame wrestler & Monster Jam star, Madusa! We start this bad boy out with a cocktail I dubbed Madusa on the Rocks, but Madusa comes up with even a better name. Then we sit down and get into Madusa's near 20-year tenure with Monster Jam. We find out just how she was able to carve out a niche for herself in the monster truck world, the struggles of having absolutely ZERO training before starting, and the fun pranks that she pulled on the guys before their races.
I pull out a nice surprise for Madusa myself, as we introduce a new drinking game to the mix - Cocktail Checkers. Things get heated as Madusa's true competitive nature shines through during the game. We continue the chat by getting into the beginnings of Madusa's wrestling career; from the first training session, to her debut in Japan, sketchy cage fighting in Thailand, and her eventual rise to the WWF as Alundra Blayze.
Madusa reflects back on the struggles that women faced in the sports entertainment industry, and how she was able to help pave the way for where women's wrestling is today. She lets the TRUTH out about her infamous phone call with friend-of-the-show Eric Bischoff (sorry, Eric!) Truth be told, there's so much to unpack in this chat that this little write up won't even do it justice. Just know - I think I made a new best friend, and hope you enjoy the UNCUT chat with Madusa!

    Wes Borland of Limp Bizkit

    Wes Borland of Limp Bizkit

This week we take a step into the warped and twisted mind of legendary guitarist Wes Borland! We talk all things Limp Bizkit - the beginnings in Jacksonville with Three Dollar Bill, Y'all, the MTV Spring Break performances, Woodstock ’99, the Australia incident, Wes’ time away from the band, the upcoming tour dates, and an update on the elusive Stampede of the Disco Elephants record.
We also take a deep dive into all of Wes’ side projects. Get the full story behind the creation of GOATSLAYER, how much music they really have recorded, why you’ll probably never hear some of it, and how that project eventually evolved into Big Dumb Face. Wes also opens up about how his ego led him to create Eat The Day, and why even a producer from Pink Floyd’s The Wall couldn’t get that project off of the ground (hint: it has something to do with trying out over 150 singers…)
Plus find out about the ghost in Wes’ old house, why he didn’t feel like a part of the metal community, debunking the “shade” against Avenged Sevenfold & the Deathbat comic, what the hell a white trash mimosa is, the inspiration behind Wes’ stage personas & outfits, how the Space Zebra show came to be, a great (or not-so-great) Courtney Love story, the worst guitar tech ever, plus so much more you’ll need a nice warm glass of hot dog flavored water to wash this episode down!

    Louis Prima Jr.

    Louis Prima Jr.

It’s all about dads this week as we celebrate Father’s Day with the generational jazz legend himself, Louis Prima Jr! We get an inside look on what it was like to grow up with the late Louis Prima, and how it has influenced LPJ’s career.
Louis details how his disdain for the music industry led him to a career in hospitality management, and how he ultimately rekindled his love for performing. We also get an update on the latest album and tour for Louis Prima Jr. & The Witnesses.
We also indulge in some stories about meeting the Rat Pack, touring the Capitol Records recording studio Louis Prima recorded in, how LPJ was able to pull off a duet with his father, how the cover art for Blow came together, and so much more!

Michelle and Val

I just listened to this episode and it was awesome! The bond you share is incredible. You all were blessed to have Jimmy in your lives and thanks for sharing some stories and history. Cheers

Decent

Decent show, however, Johnny is getting too “woke” for me. I wonder if he regrets getting a “vaccine” yet. Between his believing in the Covid hoax and the bands support of BLM, very disappointing

SOLD

I was on the fence between 4 and 5 stars until the recent Brett Berish episode, when Johnny used the adjective “banana-forward” as a tasting note for rum. I’m sold. 5 stars!
