We're two librarians who spend our off-hours chattering about recent reads, library shenanigans, and the booze that makes it all bearable.

Lock Every Door -- Librarian A
Lock every door, it's a bossy title but solid advice. So you heard Riley Sager, Lock Every Door, grab some snacky snacks and listen up while Librarian A takes you on a topsy-turvy twisty tour of this crazy story that Librarian B definitely did not guess the ending of 3 minutes into the recording. Definitely not. Anywho.....behold a book that Librarian A actually liked! But then again it is Riley Sager and she loves her some Sager. Stick around til the end for a very special surprise!

Malorie - Librarian B
Cover your eyes and open your ears. Weird-ass creatures, teen angst, and existential dread are all at play in Josh Malerman's Malorie. If you loved Bird Box, you'll be tepidly enthused to hear about its sequel. Librarian B takes Librarian A along on a strange and disappointing journey through monster-infused Michigan or wherever the hell they are.

The Duke & I -- Librarian A
Dear Readers, this author has it on good authority that the Drunk Librarians will this very episode be discussing Julia Quinn's The Duke and I. After binging all of Bridgerton, there was no other recourse than to review the book that started it all!

Midnight Sun -- Librarian B
Oh yeah baby we are entering the Twilight universe at long last. Lock your windows, stay out of the sun, and donate to the Quileute tribe.
Whether you loved it or hated it Midnight Sun brought back all the mid-2000s Twilight feels. Take a step back in time with the Drunk Librarians to the dark days of tightlining, low-rise jeans, and Linkin Park.

The Southern Book Club's Guide to Slaying Vampires -- Librarian A
And you thought Librarian B picked books with long titles! Librarian A is delving into the supernatural with Grady Hendrix's 2020 horror novel The Southern Book Club's Guide to Slaying Vampires. If you love Southern charm, the undead, and getting together for book club then you are sure to be as disappointed as Librarian A. But hey if you're here for the booze and light-hearted book bashing you are definitely in the right place.

A Christmas Carol -- 2020 Holiday Special
Celebrate the holiday season in the time-honored tradition of being too hungover to do what you're supposed to in a timely manner. So instead of listening to this on Christmas day as we intended, you can now pretend it's once again Christmas 2020 instead of 2 days after an actual coup?? We don't know man, life is hard. Here's a classic book that we read and drank about.

I can’t get enough
This is my favorite podcast ever! Librarian A and B are so infectiously funny and entertaining. I’ll listen to their full spoiler review on a book and still read it after because of how amazingly hilarious they describe the books. They need their own brand of wine.
Honest review, very little wine
One thing I like about DLP is they tell stories when they are drunk the way I tell stories when I’m sober… a bit wandering, a few side trips. Thanks for the snark! This dyslexic librarian with ADD totally gets it.
Incredible Podcast!!
These girls are absolutely hilarious. And such a great podcast idea! You get the combination of their wealth of knowledge as librarians fused with the drunken ramblings of That Girl You Meet In The Bar Bathroom.
If you like books even a little and like to laugh, give them a listen!
