Love Actually - We Want Carl For Christmas

Love Actually - We Want Carl For Christmas

It's finally here! Season 2 finale is here and we're putting you in the holiday spirit with the one and only movie that you need a pen and paper to take notes on. Like if we gave you a quiz to name ALL the characters, right now, could you do it??? Because we definitely can't.

If you haven't seen Love Actually. . . . It's like they took all the famous British people and a couple Americans and through them into a Christmas film.  Also, in this episode, we summarize each storyline for you as best as we can. We may have gotten side tracked with B-character Carl. And that's our bad.

Join us as we rant on the Prime Minister's generic character name and dream of escaping to a French cottage for the holidays. There's a lot of movie so naturally we have a lot of thoughts. Like why are there so many office romances happening at Christmas time???

Lastly, we'd like to thank you DORCs for joining us on our Season 2 journey and we hope you enjoyed it as much as we did!!!

My Big Fat Greek Wedding - We Love A Good "Boont" Cake

My Big Fat Greek Wedding - We Love A Good "Boont" Cake

Y'all! We are one more episode away from our season 2 finale! GASP.

Carrying on with family ties, we're now bringing in Coni's sister Javi to join us for one of the greatest wedding romantic comedies to exist - My Big Fat Greek Wedding.

You're going to learn so much about Javi and Coni's childhood in an immigrant household and how this movie is triggering in every way.

Now the other crazy thing is, do we really believe Ian is the real deal?? No pushback at all with any of the wedding planning or family craziness? Perhaps he's too good to be true, even in rom-com standards. Either way, we will gladly take on oil-rubbing duties as his Godmother any day.

So grab your "boont" cakes and lamb, cause we're talking about all of our favorite moments in this episode!

    Arthur (1981) - The Drunk, Rich, Man-Child

    Arthur (1981) - The Drunk, Rich, Man-Child

Only a few more episodes left before our Season 2 finale and we're spending some quality time with family. But not just any relative - Marie's mom is so graciously joining us for a family DORC episode!

Fun fact! Marie's dad actually loves this movie and asked us to do it. However, he refused to actually talk about it with us. So Momma T is stepping in the podcast ring to help us dissect every ridiculous part of this 1981 movie.

Don't get it twisted though, Liza Minnelli is forever a gem and we only slightly judge her problematic sticky fingers.

Bridget Jones's Diary - We All Love A Wet Hugh (ft. Taking Hugh For Granted)

Bridget Jones's Diary - We All Love A Wet Hugh (ft. Taking Hugh For Granted)

As we wrap up our Rom-Coms 'Round The World, we're finishing up with an all time classic, Bridget Jones's Diary. On this episode we're talking with our favorite blokes  and the only people we'll ever go to for Hugh news - Oscar and Diggory from Taking Hugh For Granted.

Just so everyone knows, Renée Zellweger should've won an Oscar for this role and THFG will die on this hill. I mean come on, she sounded more English than some English people! We couldn't imagine anyone else crushing this role - NO ONE.

That being said, Oscar and Diggory give us their best Texan accents and DORC is ready to ship them some ten gallon hats. But please, for the love of all that is good and wonderful, don't make Coni and Marie do British accents.

Marie learns what an "e-boy" is and Coni shares her Pride & Prejudice collection to the group. Even though Coni does enjoy a great Darcy, Colin Firth will never win the majority vote with this group.

You're going to want to listen to this episode, especially if you love bad boy Hugh.

Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani - The Invisible Fan Deserves An Oscar (ft. Bollywood Besharams)

Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani - The Invisible Fan Deserves An Oscar (ft. Bollywood Besharams)

It's a new episode today and that means Drunk On Rom-Coms is going full on Bollywood!!!

We have the lovely babes from Bollywood Besharams with us to talk about 2013's Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani. And if you're a newb to Bollywood movies like Marie & Coni, then you should definitely start with this one.

TBH, this is like a really long music video and you can't help but get excited for the next big number. Are things getting sad? Song. Is someone getting married? Song. Are we just having a normal conversation? Song.

Seema and Swas also educate us that the easiest way to find your protagonist is seeing who's got the magic wind blowing in their hair. You find the wind, you find your heroine. That's just how it works in the Bolly-verse. OH and if she starts out as a "nerd" with boring hair and glasses, you know she's about to have a classic rom-com GLOW UP with full volume locks and great vision.

Yesterday - How TF Did They Find John Lennon? (ft. Flick Talk Podcast)

Yesterday - How TF Did They Find John Lennon? (ft. Flick Talk Podcast)

If you love The Beatles and stories that don't make sense, then you're going to enjoy the journey that we go on with Bel and Fi from Flick Talk Podcast.

Sometimes the best parts of the movie are the meet cutes or grand gestures. Some of ours include the main character getting hit by the bus or when the movie was actually over. Also, some of the inanimate objects are pretty great too. There are a lot of feelings happening right now.

But anywho, Flick Talk and DORC try to figure out how an entire stadium of people could be so forgiving to a guy who openly admitted to stealing music from someone. And everyone's like, "we still love you!" Like, MMK. SURE. In this world, you definitely would've been cancelled and an angry mob would've jumped you by now.

As disappointing as some of the parts were, we all had an amazing time discussing coma theories, Ed Sheeran, and the lengths people will go in order to hunt someone down.
