"Duality" - Naomi Beasley-Porter Hidden in Plain Site

    • Design

Naomi Beasley-Porter is a native Detroiter and lover of all things Detroit. She is a proud East Sider and Cass Technician with a Master's Degree in Architecture from the  University of Detroit Mercy (where she also adjuncts). With a combined 10+ years of experience, Naomi worked in architecture firms but was searching for more fulfilling work. Post professional architectural practice, she translated her skillset to development finance with the City of Detroit, where she currently manages federal funds to support the building of various affordable housing development types. Naomi has found passion in doing work where the outcome directly benefits the people of Detroit; and is invested in continuing to learn, grow, and evolve to have an even greater impact in her City.
When Naomi is not working, she loves to spend time with her husband, family, and friends, explore Detroit, try new foods, and watch Christmas movies. In years past, she has been active with various organizations within her community and the architectural profession; she looks forward to circling back soon.
