E014 | Fearless Farming featuring Amy Milliron Authority Creators

    • Marketing

Amy teaches us why we should create regenerative agriculture meaning to plan your agricultural practices based on what the land is already guiding you to do.

Amy Milliron - FearlessFarmers.org, I’ll help you to live in a self-sufficient way by teaching children and families about regenerative agriculture on a farm. We hire farm educators to teach the curriculum that I've created on these regenerative farms. The journey will be fun and you will learn a lot about soil health and the direct connection to the nutrient density of our food.

About Amy - chairwoman of Fearless Farmers, a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization, envisioned people coming together in their communities to support local regenerative farmers and ranchers while offering their children a way to connect with their food. She previously operated an educational farm, Hills of Milk and Honey, in Dripping Springs, Texas where her team offered hands-on learning opportunities for families to get their hands in the soil and join the Regeneration movement together.

Amy's 24 Hour Challenge

For this challenge, what I you to do is seek out your local farmers and vote with your dollars. That means really getting to know them either through a farmers market or directly from their farm and find out if they support regenerative practices or are aiming in that direction. And what the challenges is to really learn how to  vet them and see if they really are operating regeneratively so that you would feel comfortable knowing that you could support them, you know, organic practices are important, that sort of thing is often hard for farmers to even afford. And so the matter of getting to know the farmer and saying, “Well, what do you do? What do you use on your farm? Or what do you maybe avoid, that I would be grateful for, things like that. And so what I've done is I've put together a guide that’s available at fearless farmers.org. You may have to go to the outskirts of town because farms are probably not right around the corner from you. When you get to see the farm in action, it is life changing. Use the guide, find the farms near you to support, get to know them and then place an order in the next 24 hours.

Let us know how the challenge goes by posting on our Instagram or Facebook page.
