Joe's 24 Hour Challenge

It's all about the brain. And it's all about fight and flight and anxiety. However, no fight and flight isn't limited is in primeval moment, maybe we're fearful of a big bear in a forest. And sometimes our fight and flight gets turned on automatically, when it's not really serving as well. However, we can control and manage it. And we can do that by breathing. If you want to try with me, you can take a breath. And if you just follow my hand, actually, if you just take a nice, gentle inhalation, and my hand moves up. And then let that breath go. We'll do it again. Inhale 123, pause our breath and then let that breath go. And you'll notice between the inhalation and the exhalation Carol, that there's a space. And we can use that space. Just to create a pause and maybe just get intimate, friendly, or curious with that feeling of fear that you've got inside. So instead of reacting straightaway, just take the inhalation use that polls just to get curious and just say, “What's it about? Do I need to be scared of it?” . . . kind of get friendly with it. And maybe that fear can actually save us? And if we get kind of really cool with this method, we can actually start to use our fears as a currency for our success. And really make some changes. So our fears don't have to be a barrie, we can get more. As I really started to believe that our fears really are trying to speak to us and give us signals. Now, you can reduce that fear, step inside of it. And then we can boldly move forward without that fear and do things that we never even thought were possible. I love it. So brain science, get familiar with with your own fear and using that fear as your currency for success. It's really weird for me, and I think with practice, you know, we think we can stop using fear as as a barrier and a wall. Just realize that maybe maybe the fears we face for the reason it's there for a reason historically to protect us. So just use it to control our breathing. Breathing also helps reduce your cortisol and fat levels in the body, reduce your blood pressure. So that the body is attuned to feel relaxed to step into fear. And to see just what's happening. Oh, you know, it wasn't so bad. After all, I think I will give that presentation a try.
