திருப்பாடல்கள் 1: 1-6 (The Book of Psalms)

நற்பேறு பெற்றோர்

1 நற்பேறு பெற்றவர் யார்? -
அவர் பொல்லாரின் சொல்லின்படி நடவாதவர்;
பாவிகளின் தீயவழி நில்லாதவர்;
இகழ்வாரின் குழுவினில் அமராதவர்;

2 ஆனால், அவர் ஆண்டவரின் திருச்சட்டத்தில் மகிழ்ச்சியுறுபவர்;
அவரது சட்டத்தைப் பற்றி இரவும் பகலும் சிந்திப்பவர்;

3 அவர் நீரோடையோரம் நடப்பட்ட மரம் போல் இருப்பார்;
பருவகாலத்தில் கனிதந்து,
என்றும் பசுமையாய் இருக்கும் அம்மரத்திற்கு ஒப்பாவார்;
தாம் செய்வதனைத்திலும் வெற்றி பெறுவார். [*]

4 ஆனால், பொல்லார் அப்படி இல்லை;
அவர்கள் காற்று அடித்துச் செல்லும் பதரைப் போல் ஆவர்.

5 பொல்லார் நீதித் தீர்ப்பின்போது நிலைநிற்க மாட்டார்;
பாவிகள் நேர்மையாளரின் மன்றத்தில் இடம் பெறார்.

6 நேர்மையாளரின் நெறியை ஆண்டவர் கருத்தில் கொள்வார்;
பொல்லாரின் வழியோ அழிவைத் தரும்.
