Jason, Chamath, Sacks, and Friedberg know their stuff when it comes to investing, the tech sector, politics, and AI. Their rapport seems genuine. They will tease, argue, and talk over each other, which is refreshing.
They are not as well-informed on historical events, so their opinions can be a bit hit or miss when they wade into those waters. Oftentimes it seems as if they are reading AI summaries of the past out loud as they record.
That’s okay. I don’t really listen to them for historical insights.
Jason can be sanctimonious, and there is a running joke about how when Friedberg talks about science (“Science Corner”), Sacks stops paying attention to the discussion.
Chamath is probably my favorite to listen to. He can be a bit wordy and dense in his explanations, but, when he explains his thinking clearly for dummies like me, I stop the podcast and think, “Wow! I never thought about that.”
Jason does well to explain business terms to non-business folks like myself, and he is charming and funny at times and keeps the discussion rolling along. Sometimes I think he plays up with leftist leanings to keep the conversation interesting.
A good end-of-the-week listen if you want a fun take on the past seven days in investing, tech, AI, and politics.
