Perfect for a new fan taking a deep dive!
In 2019 started working on a self published kaiju comic book series and at that point in time I was only a casual fan of the genre, having grown up with things like the Power Rangers and enjoying Hollywood monster films. I decided to do a deep dive on the genre and thanks to streaming platforms, was able to binge every single film in the Godzilla & Gamera series, along with many more daikaiju, tokusatsu and US creature features. This long running podcast has been my guide along the way, helping me gain a deeper appreciation for the people behind the whirlwind of rubber monster suits I’d gotten caught up in. The host Luke Jaconetti has been a lifelong fan of the genre, so it meant a lot to me when he gave a favorable review of my comic Stomped, covered in episode 89.
Attention All Humans—Listen to Earth Destruction Directive
This is a kaiju podcast by a fan for the fans. Luke is some of those rare hosts who can do a solo podcast and make it entertaining. He has a wide range of interests and knowledge spanning kaiju, tokusatsu, and comics. You never know what you’ll get with him, but you can bet it’ll be fun to listen to. This is a fan show, but he is a learned fan who is full of positive energy. Give it a listen!

I just discovered this podcast a week ago, and I'm up to episode 32 already. Luke is a knowledgeable and we'll spoken host whose love of the genre is obvious. I'm hooked!!
