    The Great Replacement Theory

    The Great Replacement Theory

In this week's show, Prof Wolff discusses the replacement theory's grain of truth amidst its mostly ideological function: to save capitalism from criticism. He analyzes why US capitalists deprived so many white, male, Christian workers of their jobs, incomes, and social standing over recent decades and why that analysis was largely silenced by Cold War taboos since 1945. Were a new US left-labor alliance now to offer that critical-of-capitalism alternative, replacement theory's notion of a great conspiracy (largely by Democrats) to replace white, male, Christians with "others" would be far less socially influential.

Very accessible leftist take on econ

This podcast is super informative and helped me understand some of the economic reasons why we have social injustice/inequality in the US.

It is also extremely accessible in that Richard Wolfe is able to really break down complex concepts and makes it easier way to understand. I’d recommend to everyone but esp to folks who may find learning about economics more intimidating or challenging

Blatant Disregard of Real Economic Theory

Listened to one episode and was disgusted. This guy is so blatantly biased and only tells a half story of the economics applicable to each topic. Clearly he doesn’t like capitalism and is pro socialism so he touts those views and doesn’t care to explain the drastic negative impact many of those policies would have on the broader economy. We need less people like this guy in the world, spreading disinformation that wrongly influences generations to support policies that will ultimately backfire
