Mid-South View Point welcomes Dr. Charles Fowler, President of Carson-Newman University. Carson-Newman University was founded in 1851 for the purpose of providing a distinctively Christ-centered education in service to the Church and the marketplace. The University is in the Appalachian Mountains of East Tennessee, attracting around 3,000 students to their undergraduate and graduate programs of study. Dr. Fowler, a Mississippi native, was formerly senior pastor of Germantown Baptist Church for nine years. Prior to serving in that position, he was Senior Vice President of University Relations at Union University in Jackson., TN. Dr Fowler has also taught at Union University, Mississippi State University, and The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary.
