    A conversation with Anais Maniaval

    A conversation with Anais Maniaval

    Meet Anais

Yoga teacher, mum and red headed beauty.

I invited Anais on the podcast to talk with her about Yin Yoga.

Yin is a style of yoga that I know very little about and so I was excited to learn something new, and you know what? I did!

Anais tells us about her journey to yoga and why Yin is a method, philosophy and discipline that she really resonates with.

She explains why a Yin intention is good medicine for relieving stress and anxiety but how low moods and depression tend to require more yang practises like vinyasa flow.

It's all about working harmoniously with your energy, personal situation and temperament!

After a cheeky listen, you may be inspired to add some of that Yin attention and intention into your practise!

    Enjoy!

    BIG love,

    A conversation with Charlene Dinger

    A conversation with Charlene Dinger

    Meet Charlene,

Dance artist, yoga teacher and bestie.

This girl is so cool. She came on the podcast with an hours notice and was an absolute star guest!

I found this conversation super interesting as it was a glimpse into Charlene’s world in Canada. She talks about her yoga teacher training with Modo and how she loves the feeling of support and community that comes with being associated with a world renouned yoga franchise.

We also chat about how we’ve changed and developed as teachers and practitioners through the years and what we now consider to be great teaching! Towards the end of the conversation, Charlene gives some helpful tips for new teachers wanting to improve their teaching skills and ways to stay motivated and active during lockdown.

I know you will enjoy this chat (for one thing she has a bloody gorgeous accent) with the delightful Charlene Dinger.

    BIG love,

    A conversation with Deepti Sastry

    A conversation with Deepti Sastry

    Meet Deepti

One of my very first yoga teachers who still has a big impact on my personal practise (not sure she knows this)

I asked lady D onto the podcast to share with you, delightful listeners, her thoughts on chanting and why including mantra into your personal practise can be VERY beneficial on many levels.

Deepti gives us a tantalising insight into the power of embodied mantra recitation that is built upon a deep understanding of yoga philosophy and thought.

I love how Deepti navigates the two worlds of traditional thinking and experiential understanding so effortlessly. This is something I would like to see more of in the yoga community!

After this conversation, I felt so inspired to begin a daily chanting practise and I have a feeling you will too.

    QUICK FIRE QUESTIONS

I’ve decided to include a segment where I ask my guest quick fire questions! It’s fun and I think it gives you get a little glimpse into who they are :)

    BIG love,

A conversation with Mark Bonington – Part 2

Part 2 of my conversation with Mark flowed effortlessly into the mad world of yoga and social media. He tells us about his experiences of being a gay man on social media and how the quest for the 'perfect' body transverses the two worlds!

If you ever feel like you're not good enough when you scroll through your socials, just remember that being REAL is always better than being fake!

We hope you enjoy our chat.

    BIG love,

A conversation with Mark Bonington – Part 1

    Meet mark,

Yoga teacher and all round fabulous individual!

I had the pleasure of chatting with mark Bonington about the highs and lows of setting up shop as a full-time yoga teacher. In fact Mark has written a book about just that and it’s called -

How to start teaching yoga: 10 steps to success!

During this chat, Mark gives us lots of helpful and informed advice for all you new yoga teachers out there that are feeling overwhelmed and unsure of what to do next!

Organically, the conversation flowed into his social media pet peeves as well as why he loves using it to share the gift of yoga! I think we can all agree that social media is both brilliant and at times extremely stressful.

Gosh, this was a jam-packed conversation that I’ve had to make it a two parter! OH, I didn’t even mention that we talked about his thoughts on yoga and the LGBT community and his top tip for teaching live online classes!!! I guess you had better take a listen :)

I hope you enjoy my chat with Mark!
