    I get asked all the time "how I'm so confident in being myself." It honestly makes me sad that this is a common question, because isn't that what we all should be confident in being? Today's show was inspired by a conversation with a friend about standing strong in yourself, and it turned into an episode about some of my story and how I developed self confidence.

    A lot has happened in the US and in the world since we last connected on the show. The tragic death of George Floyd (and of others like Breonna Taylor, Ahmaud Arbery, and countless others) brought about a turning point in history and social justice. Black lives matter, and we’re here today to pass/share the mic with an amazing black woman in fitness and in academia, Dr. Brittany Mastellar. Dr. Britt holds her PhD in kinesiology, is a fitness coach, a university professor, a mom, and just an all around really fun spirit to connect with.

Just discovered Embody Radio and love every episode I’ve heard so far. LOVED Ep. 91 where Em breaks down the basics and 5 mistakes newbies make when getting into the fitness world. Highly recommend starting with that episode! Thanks for your topics, passion, and enthusiasm Em!
