Lead Despite Fear with Scott Vandenburg

Lead Despite Fear with Scott Vandenburg

Welcome to another episode of Emerge. Evolve. Lead. my guest today is Scott Vandenburg. Scott is an Executive Director at Origins Recovery and has been sober since May of 2012 so he’s got over 10 years now. Scott is passionate about helping other addicts recover from that hopeless state of mind that we all know too well.
Scott has been a dedicated member of the Origins team since 2014, and in his current role, oversees all programs in South Padre Island, Texas. He is a Licensed Professional Counselor, a Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor, a Certified Anger Resolution Therapist, and a Certified Six Sigma Black Belt.
Scott is passionate about both the 12-Step philosophies and the treatment model of Origins, as these principles have been an integral part of his recovery from addiction and alcoholism. Scott holds a bachelor’s in sociology and an MBA from Boise State University. From Hazelden Betty Ford Graduate School of Addiction Studies, he holds a master’s in addiction studies. Working in treatment is a departure from his previous career. Still, Scott is convinced that helping others recover from a seemingly hopeless state of mind and body is his ultimate purpose in life.

15 Leadership Lessons Learned on the Mother Road with Maureen Ross Gemme

15 Leadership Lessons Learned on the Mother Road with Maureen Ross Gemme

Solo Episode by Maureen Ross Gemme
In 2017, Paul and I took the most incredible trip in my life so far. It was across this beautiful country on a motorcycle (I mean trike) from Connecticut to California and back again. It took almost 6 weeks in total. There were 4 parts of the trip. The second part of the trip was with 80 other adventurers on 60 motorcycles, traveling on old Route 66, affectionately called the Mother Road, on the backroads of America.
In this episode, Maureen is going to cover the 15 Leadership Lessons Learned from Mother Road Rally Master, George Higgins who sadly passed away in April of 2022. But his legacy will never be forgotten.

Don't delay in making big plans in your life. Keep growing and expanding into the leader you know you can be and enjoy every minute of it.
