Producer and writer Christy Stratton Mann (Awkward, King of the Hill, Raising Hope) chats about hoarding, Loretta Lynn and blending with Eddie Van Halen on this fun-sized podcast episode.
Season 3 - Ep 2 Yahoo Sports writer Kelly Dwyer talks very little about sports!
Ask someone to come on the show who has a very specific background and then don't let them talk about it. That's what we did to Kelly Dwyer, editor of Yahoo Sports' Ball Don't Lie. But he was a good sport about it. GET IT??
Season 3 - Ep 1 New Season with the voice of 90s classic "Kiss Me" Leigh Nash!
If you saw any romantic movie of the 1990s, you've already heard Leigh Nash. Her band Sixpence None The Richer captivated hearts with songs like "Kiss Me," "There She Goes" and "Don't Dream It's Over" and now she can personally captivate your heart on this podcast!
Season 2 - Ep 9 with Entourage's "The Real E" Eric Weinstein
Eric takes our couch to confess he taught Leo DiCaprio to suck his own dick, how much his bottle's of wine cost and plenty of other fascinating reveals. We love Eric!
Season 2 - Ep 8 with Josh Gondelman
From his creation of ModernSeinfeld to the loss of loved ones, Josh Gondelman takes the LWY couch on an emotional rollercoaster. But we like that on this show.
Season 2 - Ep 7 with Goodnight Burbank's Hayden Black
imdb's Top 20 Best TV Show creator Hayden Black spreads out on the couch to tell us about the trials and tribulations of being "absolutely brilliant".
You'd be crazy not to listen.
With a title like that, this review will no doubt be incredible, right? Anyhow, Laughing With You is a fantastic podcast if you're the type of person who enjoys listening to other people talk about their neuroses as a means of coping with your own, which is really the best way to cope with anything, I find. Plus, it's funny, which is a huge bonus. You should subscribe. I'm telling you this as a friend.
These are GOOD voices in my head... right?
Why did I give LWY Podcast five stars? Is it because I want Emily and Gerard to be Matron of Honor and Best Man at my fantasy wedding to Ariel, The Little Mermaid? Perhaps. But also because this podcast is so good.
Here’s the deal: a wide variety of people call in and talk about their problems with Emily. That’s it. Do these problems get solved by the end of the session? Spoiler Alert: no, never. BUT Emily and Gerard are funny and cool, their guests are funny and cool (with the notable exception of the color-blind dork in Episode 2), and the issues are interesting and relatable. Very quickly, the show feels like you’re just hanging out with your invisible friends, as they work out their issues. (Like they’re the ones that have issues… YOU have invisible friends.) Check it out!
I Feel ...
that if aliens were to decide upon destroying us or giving us great technological advancements and intergalactic love this podcast alone would make the difference and save us all from being enslaved or exterminated.
Also seriously, Emily Volman is absolutely awesome and a genius, and Gerard turns a hell of a knob!
