Thank you !!!
It’s so refreshing to hear someone speak from experience with auto immune disorder rather than someone on the outside looking in to try to help. I have struggled with multiple autoimmune disorders since my 2014 diagnosis. This year alone I’ve had 3 knee surgeries and liver failure to the point of being hospitalized for more than 3 months. It’s a lot physically, emotionally and mentally. I happy to have found this podcast and really know that I am not alone. While learning to walk again this will be good to listen to as my whole world seems turned upside down but I am not the only one. Thank you for the transparency and honesty of this podcast.
Kerry brings so much hope!
Kerry just gets it, and she’s able to help articulate things that many of us had not found the words for! I struggled through most of 2017-2018 with unexplained autoimmune issues that were pushed off the edge due to job loss. I was lost and angry for so long when doctors told me (like countless others) that I was “Normal” or “just depressed”.
Luckily I found my way through self-treatment thanks to my nutrition certification, and I found this podcast right starting somewhat feel like myself again but I was about to make a scary decision — to perform with my former dance team of the NBA Chicago Bulls for a reunion performance or not. My heart wanted to! But my brain knew I was still recovering. (And still jobless!) I was no longer used to that level of activity. But listening to Kerry’s podcast is part of what helped me be brave enough to go for it!! It was exhausting but I’m so glad I didn’t miss out. ❤️ Simply hearing voices that validated all that I had gone through in dealing with Hashimoto’s completely alone was the confidence I needed to dip my toe into the water of finding my former, dancing, powerlifting self again. I don’t even know how to say thank you enough for all the goodness you put out into the world. I’ve shared your podcast with many and will continue to do so. You’re priceless!! Thank you. ❤️
