Self-care for nurses
You're drained and burnt out from nursing. You feel like you need to do more self-care but just have no time after your mile long to do list. Handling Emotions as a Nurse
Your circumstances don't always equal your burnout. In nursing school we were taught how to care for a patient's illness. We were not taught out how handle their behavior, or the stress of life and death situations. These take a toll on us and we can easily become numb to it all professionally but also personally. To life a life we want to live it takes processing the emotions. Emotional processing is a learned skill, that allows you to intentional choose how to react and respond to difficult situations.
