*I'm writing one chapter a week and podcasting as I go. Welcome to the Experiment!*
Lily believes it is possible to have a romantic relationship with more than one person. This is a belief she acts on even though she is married. But Lily is no cheater. Nothing happens unless all parties agree. That is, until they don’t all agree.
Through a chance meeting, Ava is excited to have potentially found happiness in Lily after years in a difficult marriage. Equally thrilled, Lily flies across the Midwest to spend a month with Ava. However, Lily has one big challenge: remain platonic until she is able to convince Ava’s husband, Carson, that love does not have to be limited to two.
Lily's presence in their lives stirs up arguments and secrets which Ava and Carson haven't faced in years. It also causes issues in Lily's own marriage that she never knew existed to come to the surface. Forced under one roof, Lily, Ava, Carson, and Dominic try to abide by their own rules of what is right and wrong. But when unintended passions rise, no one is able to walk away.

I'm Hooked

I don’t get the appeal of the lifestyle, but the lifestyle and characters are addictive. Ava is sweet and stays sweet though her husband has sex with every woman, “hotter than the weather”. Lily is a hard one. She’s kind and principled, but I wouldn’t call her sweet. Her thoughts on life are interesting. Dominic hasn’t been too involved yet, but I want him. He’s calm and caring and it’s obvious how much he loves his wife. Carson is the best because he’s the worst. I roll my eyes and smile every time he speaks. Jane does a great job pulling me into the story using these four. I can’t wait for more. I really want to see Ava & Lily’s relationship develop. Also Carson & Lily’s. And I can’t wait to see how Dominic becomes a part of all of it. I’m just hooked. Episode 7 appeared during my walk & I got happy.

Where did this come from?

I stumbled on this searching for something to listen to in-between Select Shorts and New Yorker updates. The story holds up with the best of them. I'm hooked on the direction the story is going. I listened to the 5 episodes in one sitting. Each chapter is a bigger payoff than the one before it. They go by really quickly, which is good because it means I'm into it. The relationships between each character are really well written. Looking forward to the weekly new chapters!
