Feeling a sense of belonging is known to be one of the top three factors that contribute to motivation.    
Having a group of supportive, like minded people to move with has a huge positive effect on motivation, and consistency. However, there’s no one size fits all approach to group fitness - each person’s needs and preferences for community are different.
