H. Doobie Powell is a GOATED musician, vocalist, songwriter and producer. This native of Harford, CT is son to Funk and Jazz Legend Hubert Powell Jr. Doobie began his career at 8 years old as a touring drummer. DP has worked with some of the top artists in Gospel, Jazz and R&B such as; Kim Burrell, Harry Connick Jr., "Sput" Seawright, Musiq Soulchild, Robert Glasper, The Clark Sisters, Raphael Saadiq and Pastor John P. Kee.
Over his 35 plus year career DP has released multiple studio and live albums. I am honored to sit down with this young icon and innovator, a man who has created name in the music industry that will be respected for ever!!
