Ep 14: Pelvic Floor Health & A Safe Return to Postpartum Fitness Without Pain, Leaking or Limitations with Dr. Christine Pieton, PT #strongasamother The Mom Feed

    • Parenting

In this episode, I sit down with physical therapist, Dr. Christine Pieton, PT, DPT, who specializes in pelvic health and returning women to fitness safely after having a baby. If you’re still peeing yourself a little (or a lot) when you run or sneeze, or if you experience painful sex, back pain, knee pain, hip pain - any of it - this episode is a must. Dr. Christine breaks down all you need to know about the pelvic floor and how important it is for your body to function correctly. We also discuss some of the less empowering language geared toward postpartum women that suggests they somehow need to lose weight fast, get back to exercising too early, and ignore the healing of the tissues that are in need of some rest and recovery long after that 6 week postpartum check-up. #strongasamother
