Ep 15 - Horror in Skidmore, Missouri: The Murder of Bobbie Jo Stinnett Talk Murder With Me

    • True Crime

Skidmore, Missouri. December 16, 2004. When 23-year-old, 8-months-pregnant Bobbie Jo Stinnett spoke to Darlene Fischer on the internet forum "Ratter Chatter", nothing struck her as particularly odd about the woman. Ratter Chatter was a forum for breeders of rat terrier dogs; Bobbie Jo and her husband Zeb showed the dogs and bred them out of their northwest Missouri home. Darlene said she was interested in adopting one her new puppies.
Bobbie Jo was happy to accommodate Darlene, and they arranged to meet at Bobbie Jo's home in Skidmore. When it got to 2:30pm on Dec. 16, the doorbell rang, as Bobbie Jo expected. But when she answered the door, it wasn't Darlene Fischer at all, but rather, another woman who Bobbie Jo knew from the Ratter Chatter forum, Lisa Montgomery. Bobbie Jo would quickly find out that the woman wasn't interested in a dog at all. She wanted something that Bobbie Jo would not give her, but this did not stop her going to extreme lengths to take it.
