Ep: 16 How to effectively communicate with your brain with Dr. Brad Fanestil, MD Beyond The Pelvis

    • Alternative Health

In this episode, internal medicine doctor Dr. Brad Fanestil, founder of The Boulder Institute for Mind Body Medicine, shares how he treats anxiety, depression, and chronic conditions with neuroscience. His techniques are simple but powerful. He shares many of them during our conversation.

Here's what Dr. Brad has to say about his experience. "I’ve been a board certified Internal Medicine doctor for 33 years. After completing my Internal Medicine residency at UCLA, I began working in a public clinic in Los Angeles from 1990-1992. For the next 17 years I had a traditional Internal Medicine practice just outside of Boulder. I had been doing my best to help patients deal with their chronic pain and prescribing medications, but many saw no improvement over decades. In 2018 I began reading about the new neuroscience of pain and the brain, and I started applying some of these new ideas to my own primary care patients with chronic pain. "
