I chatted with Buenos Aires based writer Daniel Beauregard while he was visiting family in Toronto for the holidays. We talk about his writing process and the details of some of the short stories he’s published, the ins and outs of running a small press, the difficulties and joys of publishing works in translation, his beginnings and life now as an expat freelance writer, film talk, how cold it can get in Canada, celebrity weed, among other topics. He has published four chapbooks of poetry including Total Darkness Means No Notifications (Anstruther Press, 2021), Anatomizing Uncanny Alley (SELFFUCK, 2019), HELLO MY MEAT (Lame House Press, 2015) and Before You Were Born (421 Atlanta, 2014).
