EP.20: Murder! Scandal! Conspiracy! - A Conversation with Suzanne Finstad

Two Guys From Hollywood

Buckle up! This week Alan and Joey are talking to acclaimed author, journalist and biographer Suzanne Finstad about one of our juiciest themes to date: HOLLYWOOD UNCOVERED. There are many famous murders, scandals and conspiracies that are sewn within the fabric of Hollywood as we know it today, and this week, we’re diving into a few that Suzanne knows everything about. Remember Howard Hughes? Well, he died “without an heir” and at the tender age of 20, Suzanne’s first job at a law firm was to find those related to him to get an idea of who would inherit all his money. What Suzanne found was layer upon layer of cover-ups, illegal activity, and lies that, if exposed, would put major players in jail all the way up to the White House. Days before she was to testify in court, she was beaten in her home and left for dead. Now, she’s telling the story that WASN’T included in her book, HEIR NOT APPARENT. We then jump to the infamous relationship between Elvis and a then 14-year-old Priscilla Presley, all detailed in her book CHILD BRIDE. Why the taboo title? You’ll have to listen to find out. Suzanne’s latest book, THE COMPLETE BIOGRAPHY OF NATALIE WOOD, includes detailed, well researched - and quite honestly shocking - new pages that reveal the truth about what happened that night on the boat with Robert Wagner and Christopher Walken. Was her death really an accident? Or one of the biggest cover-ups Hollywood has ever participated in? As always, we have a guest-inspired cocktail of the week! This week enjoy the LEMON BURST. Find the full recipe and more on @twoguysfromhollywood on Instagram, and @TGFHPodcast on Twitter and Facebook. Cheers!
