Ep. 24: Not All Pregnant People are Women w/Moss Froom Not Your Mama Podcast

    • Fitness

I named my podcast the Not Your Mama Podcast because, frankly, I hated people calling me "mom" during my pregnancy that weren't my child instead of calling me by my name. That discomfort pales in comparison to what transgender people go through on their prenatal and postpartum journeys. This is why I am so excited to talk to today's guest, Moss Froom (@mossthedoula), who is a doula, childbirth educator, and more.

In this episode we discuss:
Some of the ways that the prenatal and postpartum space could be more inclusiveWhat it can be like for a non-cis-gendered person to be misgendered by their health care providerWhat we can do on an individual level to make things more inclusiveAnd more!If you'd like to work with Moss, you can visit their website at mossthedoula.com or find them on Instagram - which is an amazing resource for anyone looking to learn more about the community - @mossthedoula. All upcoming trainings that they mention are available on their site!
