Ep. 259 - Batman Beyond - Untouchable The DCAU Review
-
- TV & Film
The Good Brothers return to the future once again as they kick off the month with a review of the Batman Beyond Season 3 episode "Untouchable." Jumping right into the plot, Cal points out how familiar the plot points are when compared to other DCAU stories, and both hosts bemoan the continued characterization of Terry as a dirtbag boyfriend. While the animation does feature some interesting visuals, including the effect overlay of the Repeller's suit, discussion is had regarding one scene with inconsistent cel shading, how Batman chooses which rebreather to use and Blüdhaven's appearance. The hosts also talk about the late great Shirley Walkers use of the Beyond theme to punctuate the action as well as a surprising "one and done" acting job for one of the cast members. All of this and a preview of next week's exciting(?) The Zeta Project review on this week's DCAU Review!
